Absolutely delicious. I loved my experience at this restaurant. The owner Victor is very kind and friendly. First time trying their homemade chorizo and I was amazed by the flavor. Sometimes in the valley it’s hard to find good chorizo but this place had AMAZING chorizo and egg tacos. The chicharron also had melt in your mouth flavor. This is the go to spot in north McAllen. Will definitely be coming back.

I had a one of a kind experience. All their plates are homemade especially the tortillas. Everything fresh, warm, and full of flavor. You can tell they’re made with love, and make every meal taste even better. The customer service is what definitely made me want to come back, so friendly, welcoming, and make sure you’re taken care of. If you’re looking for tasty authentic food. I recommend!

Very well served! Every single dish has such an amazing taste!! Such homemade quality with every bite! The service was amazing by the Owners daughter. She was very attentive to any of our needs. And the ambiance was calm and our food all came out very fast! I highly recommend this place, This place is worth a try and many more visits afterwards. The menudo is probably the best menudo I've ever tasted!

This has officially become a must when coming down south . The food and service were amazing ! The tacos are made with homemade harina or maíz amarillo and did I mention they are huge !! Chilaquiles were so delicious I teared up because they reminded me of my mother . Thank you to the lovely ladies for making our experience great as well .

How this place not super busy all the time?! I found a really good place to eat breakfast... and it's walking distance from the house I'm staying in. Tacos are ENORMOUS. Parole is sooooo good. Menudo is the best I have EVER had. EVER! Lol. You have GOT to visit this place!!

This place is SO GOOD. I was looking for something that I hadn’t tried before so I came to La Chula. Boy am I glad I did! It was early afternoon so it wasn’t all that busy. The waitress was very attentive. I ordered two tacos and they were ready in a flash - three minutes? Faster than the sign in the window says! - and they were so good. The pork in green salsa was amazing. I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. The carnitas taco was also delicious. The meat in both was tender and cooked just right. The sauces were rich and layered. I can’t wait to try them again!

la chula express has such a great atmosphere it feels comfortable and welcoming the moment you walk in. the food is a really special reminder of home and honestly tastes like my grandma’s cooking, which makes it even better. the service is amazing too the workers are so kind and welcoming, it makes you want to come back again. i would definetly recommend this to anyone coming to visit the valley.
